Ashley Ingold

Ashley is a mother of two sons, one cat, and a flock of backyard chickens. She has spent the past 20 years working with children in a variety of settings, including as a Waldorf grade school classroom teacher, preschool teacher, in park district programs, on field trip adventures, in administrative roles, and in homeschool environments.
Ashley graduated from Southern Illinois University (SIU) with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, with a focus on art and a minor in early childhood enrichment. For five years, she led a homeschool group in Evanston alongside a co-teacher, bringing together 25 families.
Ashley believes in magic and strives to bring a little of that magic into children’s lives. Storytelling, crafting, games, singing, and circle time are among her strengths. She believes in nurturing the whole child by supporting their social, emotional, and physical development, building the confidence and foundation they need to grow in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
Working with children brings Ashley great joy, and she feels blessed to have her own children alongside her as she opens her home to create a wholesome, loving community where children and families can learn, grow, and thrive together.

Annalee Hooson

Annalee is a second generation homeschooler, a mother of two (soon to be three ) and professional singer songwriter. Being raised homeschooled with her 4 siblings, she brings creative experience and a true passion for community development and retention. After performing for 20+ years, Annalee elevates what music can mean for kids by bringing live, engaging songs and hands on experiences that get the whole family involved. Annalee believes that music is an incredible tool for teaching and learning, building confidence and memory, and creating relationships through shared experience.

Why We’re Here

Nature’s Magic was born to retain and create new relationships between homeschooling families and children. Our passion is fostering a love of learning while growing friendships through the Magic of storytelling, singing, and playing together outdoors. The community is essential for each homeschool family. As our kids grow, we want to see these friendships grow and last for years to come.
